Spring News
Greetings and Happy Spring!
(April 26)
I hope the year is going well for you. The studio continues to be a busy place here in Conifer. I have created a lot of new paintings over the winter and will be bringing them to art shows over the summer. I continue to add to my series of landscapes, urban scenes and coastal/maritime work, and to focus on the power of light/shadow and color harmony in my painting. Now that it’s starting to get warm here in the mountains, I’m looking forward to taking my easel and paints outdoors for some plein-air work.
And, I am busy varnishing, framing and packing paintings to go to art festivals, now that the season is underway. My first road trip took me 4,000 miles via Houston, Atlanta and Austin. We won’t talk about gasoline prices here, but we will say THANKS to all the people who visited my booth, bought paintings and helped make each show a success. And, despite the long distances, I did see some great countryside and came home with some ideas for new paintings.
I’ve posted newly-lined-up art festivals on the EVENTS page of this site, and will add more as they are firmed up. I hope to see you at an art show this year!
