Spring News

Greetings and Happy Spring!
Here at the studio the grass is just starting to green up, but there are no signs of buds on trees, and we have not seen the first dandelion yet. Never mind, spring will come, weather will warm up and there will be lots of painting to do outdoors!
A few months ago I mentioned that I planned to reduce the number of art festivals I do, so that I can spend more time painting (well, OK, and hiking and enjoying the outdoor life generally!) This is going according to plan, as I am making many changes to my festival calendar this year...adding new festivals I've never done while missing some that I've done in the past. The result will be that instead of the 15 festivals per year that I've done in recent years, the total this year will be more like 10.
As a part of this, I am shifting much of my attention to galleries and juried exhibitions. Currently I am represented by two excellent galleries, Susan Calloway Fine Arts in Washington DC, and Evergreen Fine Art in Evergreen, Colorado. At both galleries the owners and staff have helped many people start or add to their art collections. I encourage you to visit these galleries.
I am also represented by an on-line gallery, www.artquiver.com. They have a fun website which you may want to check out.
Perhaps I will see you at a festival or while I'm out painting...I hope so, but in any case have a great summer!
